Carl is a Design Principal and one of the founding members of FACET. He holds a Master of Architecture from University of Illinois Chicago. He has been a practicing architect for over 25 years, during which his work has been recognized for various design awards. Throughout his career, he has worked on a variety of project types in multiple roles including project architect, sustainability leader, and designer. As a Design Principal, Carl leads with a creative and performance-based perspective on architectural design, both on specific project teams and within the professional environment.
CHUM (CENTRE HOSPITALIER DE L’UNIVERSITÉ DE MONTRÉAL) PHASE 1*

Replacement hospital for the entire French-speaking side of Montreal. CHUM is the largest healthcare project recently constructed in North America and among the largest healthcare public-private partnership projects in Canadian history. Born from the merger of three hospitals, CHUM replaces inefficient and antiquated facilities and brings these entities together into a single state-of-the-art academic medical center.
SSM HEALTH CARDINAL GLENNON PEDIATRICS SPECIALTY CLINIC*
FERGUSON, MO
New satellite clinic concept and design housing SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Pediatric Specialty Services, the first pediatric specialty healthcare center in North St. Louis County. The 15,000 SF medical building houses the SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Pediatric Specialty Services and also an office of SSM Health Medical Group Pediatrics. Specialty services offered at the new center include gastroenterology, ENT (otolaryngology), orthopedics, pulmonology, neurology and endocrinology.
The building’s child-friendly design incorporates the use of natural lighting; a mix of vibrant colors on the walls and furniture; comforting natural materials like wood and stone; and whimsical, hand-painted artwork throughout. The single-story facility is broken down into two separate services—one half of the building is occupied by SSM Health and the other half is occupied by SSM Cardinal Glennon. Both tenants share a common reception area, waiting room and isolated sick waiting room. Each side has at least 12 exam rooms, and the facility features an audiology booth, procedure room, casting room, X-Ray room and space for a future ultrasound and mobile MRI.
MISSOURI DELTA MEDICAL CENTER OUTPATIENT REHAB + CLINICS
SIKESTON, MO
Outpatient rehab portion of the building contain services for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Pediatric Therapy, Work Rehab, Warm Water Therapy and supportive ancillary services. Outpatient clinics portion will contain 10 exam rooms, testing, imaging, phlebotomy and drug screening.
