The Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), State Public Health Laboratory (SPHL), Department of Agriculture (MDA), Animal Health Laboratory-Jefferson City, and Department of Natural Resources (DNR) are all experiencing laboratory building issues. The One Health project will construct new facilities to co-locate the various state agencies’ laboratories together on one campus. The benefits of the co-location concept include sharing information & knowledge; sharing technology, equipment, expertise, & space where possible; and sharing access to general laboratory supplies & similar support services. The One Health Laboratory Campus will create new efficient spaces and a framework that will allow flexibility to expand current and new testing areas.
