Initially proposed in early 2021, The Circuit Theater on Delmar Boulevard would occupy the space between two existing landmark buildings and introduce additional exterior space in the form of a plaza, which will host small seating groups and plantings. Inspired by music technology and the graphic nature of a sound board equalizer, the Circuit Theater plaza is organized spatially by patterns on the ground. Concentrations of striations in the paving strategy delineate areas of gathering, versus areas of movement towards the front entrance or parking towards the back of the building.
